Welcome to The Presbyterian Church at New Providence

Welcome to The Presbyterian Church at New Providence (PCNP). We invite people from all backgrounds, regardless of where they are on their spiritual journey to join us at one of our services and participate in our many programs and events.

We are a unique, Christ-centered, people focused congregation. If you are considering joining us for a service, we hope you’ll find PCNP a place where you are warmly welcomed and feel at home, even if you’ve never been to church before.

We provide diverse styles of Christ-centered worship that are welcoming, visitor friendly and culturally relevant that includes biblical preaching, dynamic music and practical application.

I’m new. What should I expect?

Expect to feel at home and experience Sunday morning in a whole new way. You can choose between 2 styles of worship. Our contemporary service rocks. You’ll hear an exciting blend of vocals, guitars, drums, multi-media, communion and Christ centered messages which create a relevant worship environment. Come with expectancy and hope! The 9:30 contemporary service is in our Ministry Center. This is a more casual environment. Bring your coffee, your kids’ strollers, toys and snacks. The 11:00 service is in our sanctuary.

Our traditional service held in the sanctuary at 9:30 offers a combination of choral, and organ, blending hymns and praise music. This service will inspire and encourage you in your faith through prayer, scripture, Christ-centered messages and communion.

The entire Sunday experience lasts about an hour and one thing is for sure….you won’t be bored and you won’t feel unwelcome.

Where do I go?

Do I Need to Dress Up?

Come as you are, and dress however you want; from shirt and tie to sandals and shorts, everyone is welcome here. Whether you are single, married, a parent, teen or child, we strive to make church creative, relevant and excellent for you each week.

Got KIDS?

We offer more than child care. At 9:30, in addition to our safe and nurturing fully staffed nursery for kids under 2, we offer an amazing Sunday School for children age 2 through 6^th grade where they can study God’s word in fun & interactive ways. The classes are led by caring and knowledgeable adults.

What about my teenagers?

We have groups for 7^th and 8^th graders which are fun and interesting while still teaching God’s Word from the Bible. The older teens, 9^th through 12^th grade bring their bagels and gather to discuss practical applications of God’s teaching. Your teens will be anxious to come, meet with friends, and participate in lively discussions guided by adult leaders.

I want more than just worship on Sunday…Is there anything for me?

Our small groups on Sunday for adults, offered at 9:30 and 11:00 AM, cover a wide range of topics and even different age groups gather to delve deeper into the Bible. You can find the schedule posted in the entryway off the parking lot or ask one of our greeters for a list of topics and directions to the classrooms.

Of course, during the week there is a myriad of small groups, programs and events to help you grow in your spiritual life whether you are a young adult to a senior citizen or a single, young family or empty nester, you’ll feel at home at PCNP. Browse our website to get an idea of all that is available. However, come visit us to get a true sense of what it is like to belong to the PCNP family.
